Twins!! {Downers Grove, Chicago Newborn Photographer}

Meet the beautiful J Twins! Mom and Dad, along with these cuties, came to see me a few weeks back. They came out from Chicago (thank you for making the drive!). The twins were a bit older than my usual newborns – they were 5 1/2 weeks at our session. As most of you know, we can’t always predict how the babies will do – will they soundly sleep, be fussy, happy, cry, etc, but we were hoping to be able to get some of them together. Well, these two cuties happened to be on completely opposite schedules!! When one was wide awake, the other was out like a light, and vice versa. Despite that, I think we still were able to get some great shots of the twins together, as well as plenty of them on their own. Mom and Dad were champs through it all too, as I am sure they are both a bit tired these days… Thank you J Family for the opportunity to capture this wonderful time for you all! Congratulations on your beautiful twins!

On to High School! {Downers Grove, Glen Ellyn Photographer}

I recently had the opportunity to take 8th grade graduation pictures for this handsome young man. I took his sister’s 8th grade graduation pictures last year, and now it was his turn. What an exciting time for him as he begins the next phase – high school!! So much new experiences are waiting for him. B – good luck in the years ahead and have fun!

Wow, I have been quite behind in blogging, haven’t I?! It’s been a busy spring and summer full of sessions and I apologize for my delay in sharing many of them here. I do want to remedy that, so let’s start with this cutie pie! Meet little B, a high energy, happy and smilely little boy who just turned one! I photographed him when he was 6 months old, so it was so fun to see him again and see how he has grown. He just started to take some steps, but wasn’t fully walking yet. He was full of laughs and smiles for us, and very curious! I love watching toddlers take in their surroundings and explore – such a fun and exciting age! Thank you to B’s family – it was a pleasure seeing you all again!

Augie {Downers Grove Family and Children Photographer}

Meet Augie, a brave and adorable 5 year old, along with his wonderful family. Augie was born with a rare congenital heart defect called Truncus Arteriosis and has already undergone 2 open heart surgeries, and will continue to need medical procedures on his heart in years to come. His parents, who happen to be friends of mine, spent a lot of time at the Ronald McDonald House near Advocate Hope Children’s Hospital when he had his surgeries. They felt so fortunate to stay there and wanted to give back, so they started “Augie’s Drive for Supplies” a few years ago to support the Ronald McDonald House. Their annual drive is this month (see the flyer below). If you are in the area, please consider dropping off a donation to help out. I enjoyed capturing these pictures for the flyer and seeing the smiles and laughter that this wonderful family shares with each other. Thanks for having me be a part of this Dave and Joanna!

First Holy Communion, such a special day in a child’s life. I was so happy to capture this time for this beautiful girl, who prepares for her big day. She looks lovely, and I know that her First Communion Day will be as beautiful as she is!
