As a photographer, I am always trying to improve my craft.  I want my clients to feel confident that they are hiring a photographer that knows what she is doing, and one that is always striving to do better.  I am always open to opportunities that help me develop who I am as a photographer and to improve.  Well, an amazing opportunity came along and I jumped at it!!  Andrea Joki, a wonderful photographer and teacher, who I have followed for a number of years, flew in from Finland to run a small workshop with myself, and 5 other photographers recently.  6 of us with Andrea all to ourselves!!!  Whohoo!  We started on a Thursday night and plugged away all day and evening for the next few days.  Portfolio reviews, multiple sessions, beautiful models and locations, editing and workflow instruction, and a good hard look at the direction and vision each one of us has with our own photography.  Not to conform to being the same, but to really focus on what makes each of us unique and sets us apart.  I worked my butt off and was exhausted after these few days (especially still being in a boot with a stress fracture in my leg!!) but it was all worth it.  I learned so much from Andrea and from the other photographers who made such an impact on me in such a short time.  I am more confident in my skills, and excited to continue to grow in my photography and my business.  Here are some of my favorites that I took during this fantastic workshop.  Thank you Andrea for pushing me in new directions!
