First Communion – My Own! {Downers Grove, Glen Ellyn Children Photographer}

I have enjoyed doing a number of First Communion sessions, but this one was pretty special – my own daughter’s First Holy Communion!  For you photographers out there, you know how taking portraits of your own kids is often more challenging.  My kids see my camera out all the time.  Sometimes they are more than happy to get their picture taken, other times, not so much!  Kate was definitely willing to have hers taken, but time was not on our side – between getting her ready, myself, and preparing for a party after mass, our session time was very limited.  But, I was able to capture these before we left to head to church.  She was all smiles (despite missing 4 top teeth) and was excited for this very special day.  I think she looks beautiful, but I am admittedly biased!!  Thanks for looking~
